Spontaneous Response To the Gospel

Was it for a big basketball or football game or even for a couple of BMX pro’s throwing down an incredible routine? No, it was a spontaneous outburst of cheers for Jesus Christ.

Just minutes after Outcast BMX performed a ridiculously entertaining show at Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, TN, Rian Berger, the school’s fearless spiritual leader gets up and asks the question as to why we get so excited about a BMX show and yet, we are not equally enthused at the death and resurrection of Jesus. And that’s when a shout went out from somewhere behind me in the bleachers and a few seconds later, this audience of young people exploded into a deafening cheer for our Lord and Savior. It was as real and authentic a moment as I’ve ever experienced in ministry which leads me to ask you a few questions:

Have you lost hope in this next generation of young people? Are you wondering what is happening to our country and our culture and feel that what works no longer works? That you’re fighting a losing battle? I’m here to tell you that I saw hope last week in a school assembly in Brentwood, TN and His Name is Jesus.
